Three men sit down at a table in order to munch their way through unquenchable treasuries of songs, through basic food and objects as well as Konrad, Kaspar and Philipp, main characters taken from the book "Struwwelpeter" / "Shockheaded Peter".
The three talented musicians Schindel, Killius and Dutschke all studied classical music and composition alongside their stage and theaterical creation, and work as singers, writers and composers for various musical groups. Schindel specializes in piano and accordion, Killius in classical singing (Bariton) and Dutschke on classic drums and percussion.
Chamber Music Theater is compriosed of two parts. First we are presented with three solos: Schindel starts with "Poem for a Jumper" by Dieter Schnebel. Rainer Killius then follows with "Aria" for solo voice by John Cage. Finally Tobias Dutschke performs "Le corps à corps" for one percussionist and his zarb by Georges Aperghis.
These solos are followed by Tafelmusik, in which the trio sits down at table in order to munch their way through unquenchable treasuries of songs, through basic food as well as Konrad, Kaspar and Philipp, characters taken from the book "Struwwelpeter" / "Shockheaded Peter"
It is the first production of Volker Schindel, Rainer Killius and Tobias Dutschke as schindelkilliusdutschke and is the trios calling card. It became an instant winner of the audience award at the 100°-Festival 2005 (Sophiensaele Berlin), followed by various guest appearances in Germany and Austria, Poland, the Czech Republik and now Israel.
